With Thanks and Appreciation
Libraries provide access. Donors provide resources. Volunteers provide time and expertise. Community partners help us reach farther.
Together, we can put the Universe within the reach of a library card.
Supporting Donors
We are grateful to everyone who has contributed to Library Telescope placements, repairs, supplies, and continued program growth. Donor recognition is opt-in; full telescope sponsors are recognized unless they request anonymity.

The Program That Inspired Us
BBAA's Library Telescope Program was inspired by the wider Library Telescope Program movement and the work of amateur astronomers and libraries who demonstrated that a durable beginner telescope could become a successful circulating resource. In 2015, BBAA received a telescope through the Astronomical League's Horkheimer Library Telescope Program, giving our local effort its start.
Help Write the Next Chapter
You can help us put more telescopes into circulation, maintain the ones already serving the public, and expand access to astronomy across Hampton Roads.
