New to Astronomy?
You do not need a telescope, a star chart, or a head full of constellation names to begin.
Astronomy starts by looking up. The Moon, planets, constellations, satellites, meteors and the changing seasons of the sky are available before you buy a single piece of equipment. Buying equipment is emphatically not Step One.
When you are curious about telescopes, try before you buy. BBAA public events put many different instruments side by side, and their owners are usually delighted to explain why they chose them.
