Want to Join?

Membership in the Back Bay Amateur Astronomers is open to anyone with an interest in Astronomy. Telescope ownership is NOT required. Youngsters are welcome, but should only attend events with a parent or other trusted adult.

We now have a Free Associate Membership for astronomers under 18. Associate members can not vote or hold club office, but have all other privledges of membership. Instead of a check for dues, just give us your birthdate and tell us you are applying for a Youth Associate Membership.

Dues are $18.00 per year.

Your dues go to pay for Astronomical League membership, our club membership in the International Dark Sky Association and the cost of producing our monthly newsletter, the Back Bay Observer.

Please make your $18.00 check payable to “Back Bay Amateur Astronomers” or just “BBAA”

Please provide the names of family members that will be participating with you in astronomy events.

Tell us if you have an astronomy or science related job or credentials.
Tell us about other astronomy clubs you have been a member of.
